POLICIES
Getting a quote
For clients and potential clients that reside in a 25 minute radius of our shop in East Troy, Wisconsin, we offer complimentary estimates. If you live outside of this radius, we're still happy to have you as a customer, we'd just need to charge you a fee to come out and take a look at your property. This helps us cover the time it takes our estimator to get to and from your property.
We will provide you with an arrival window for our estimator to come out to your location for the next available appointment. Once our estimator reviews your project, we will email or send you a detailed estimate.
You have the choice of accepting the whole quote as it is, or picking and choosing what parts of the project are your priority and/or fit into your budget at this time. If you ever need changes to your estimate, you can call our office at 262-470-3829 and let us know what you'd like updated.
Once you've accepted your estimate, we will send you an invoice for a 50% down payment and will add your work order to the list of work that is coming up.
Fuel Surcharges
We reserve the right to add a discretionary fuel surcharge in the event that fuel rises above $3.50 per gallon for a sustained period of time. This discretionary fuel surcharge will be 5% of your total bill will be applied to your account. This surcharge will not exceed $5.00 per service provided for multiple visit items (ex. mowing, snow removal, monthly maintenance, etc.) The surcharge will be calculated based on the total invoice amount and will be reflected in your billing statement.
We appreciate your understanding and support as we strive to maintain service quality amid fluctuating fuel costs.
Payments
Private Underground Utilities
We accept Cash & Checks by mail or in person. Our office is typically open from 8 am to 3 pm. But office hours may vary depending on season, and the staffing needs of the office.
We also accept electronic checks, otherwise known as ACH PAYMENTS. There is a 1% fee automatically added to each invoice. If you choose to pay by check in the mail or in person, that fee will be taken off.
We do accept credit cards for payment of your account, though this feature isn't automatically turned on. If you'd like to pay by credit card, please let us know so that this option can be turned on for you. We do charge an additional 3% convenience fee pass through charge for all credit card transactions (payments and returns).
QuickBooks offers customer financing through their third party website Intuit Credit Karma this option is automatically turned on if your estimate is greater than $2000. Since this is a third party offering, we do not have control over any aspect of this process such as APR, Terms, etc..
Your Personal Gardener & Arborist is not responsible for damage to unmarked, unknown, or unannounced obstacles. It is the responsibility of the client to mark such items as landscape lighting, irrigation, invisible dog fences, cable, private utilities, and electrical lamp post lines prior to any work beginning.
