At Your Personal Gardener & Arborist, we believe landscaping is about more than maintaining properties - it's about creating spaces where families gather, businesses thrive, and communities grow.
Founded by U.S. Military Veteran James Chesebro, YPGA was built on a foundation of service, integrity, and stewardship. For over 15 years, we have proudly served Southeast Wisconsin by caring for the landscapes, trees, and communities that surround us.

From Service to Stewardship.
Your Personal Gardener & Arborist began in 2012 when our owner, James Chesebro, started the business as a small, part-time operation while attending the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and serving in the U.S. Army.
What started as a way to help offset the cost of college quickly grew into something much bigger. As the business continued to gain momentum, James and his wife, Natalie, made the decision to go all in - turning a part-time venture into a growing company and building a team around the values that mattered most to them.
James' time in the military played an important role in shaping those values. Service, hard work, accountability, teamwork, and taking care of the people around you became part of the foundation of YPGA and continue to influence the way we operate today.
More than a decade later, we're proud of how far we've come, but even more proud that the foundation we started with hasn't changed. We remain a veteran-owned, family-operated company committed to creating opportunities for our employees, supporting our community, and providing a level of service our customers can count on.
As we continue to grow, our purpose remains rooted in the same three things that have guided us from the beginning: God. Country. Family.
