    FULL TIME  - ARBORIST

    Do you have a passion for trees and a desire to make a lasting impact on landscapes? Your Personal Gardener & Arborist (YPGA), a trusted name in horticulture and arboriculture for over 15 years, is seeking Certified Arborists to join our growing team. 

    ​

    As a Certified Arborist at YPGA, you’ll lead tree care operations, including pruning, removals, cabling/bracing, crown bracing, stump grinding, invasive species control, forestry mulching and plant health care services. You’ll work closely with a team of skilled professionals to ensure safety, quality, and exceptional service for our clients.

    ​

    What You'll Do:

    • Perform all aspects of tree care, including climbing, aerial lift operation, rigging, pruning, and removals.

    • Assess tree health and recommend appropriate treatment plans, including: 

      • Fertilization

      • Pest/disease management,

      • Soil conditioning,

      • Risk mitigation.

    • Operate and maintain equipment such as chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts.

    • Oversee safety protocols, ensuring adherence to ANSI and OSHA standards.

    • Collaborate with clients to provide expert advice on tree care and property management.

    • Train and mentor crew members to develop their arboriculture skills.

    • Maintain accurate records of work orders, treatments, and materials used.

    What We’re Looking For:

    • A dependable team player with a strong work ethic.

    • Physically fit and able to lift logs and heavy materials.

    • Safety-conscious and detail-oriented.

    • ISA Certified Arborist (required).

    • TRAQ (Tree Risk Assessment Qualification) certification preferred.

    • Proficiency in tree climbing with and without spurs.

    • Experience with rigging, aerial lift operation, and advanced pruning techniques.

    • Knowledge of plant health care practices, including pest/disease management.

    • Strong communication and leadership skills.

    • Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred).

    • CPR certified (preferred)

    • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically
      demanding tasks.

This role requires proficiency in various mechanical systems, including hydraulics, and the capability to perform heavy lifting. Our mechanics work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that vehicles are safe and reliable for our customers.

    What You'll Do:

    • Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues.

    • Perform automotive diagnostics using advanced tools and equipment.

    • Repair and replace faulty components, including hydraulic systems.

    • Utilize power tools for repairs and maintenance tasks.

    • Provide tire services, including mounting, balancing, and rotation.

    • Solder electrical connections as needed to ensure proper functionality.

    • Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed.

    • Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality service delivery.

    FULL TIME  - PLANT HEALTHCARE TECHNICIAN

    Your Personal Gardener & Arborist Plant Health Care Technician. The PHC position empowers the technician with the ability to cultivate and nurture the valuable properties of YPGA customer base. Plant Health Care is the integrated approach to repairing and protecting valuable trees and shrubs that cannot be replaced many times in a single lifetime or even two or three generations.

    ​

    What You'll Do:

    • PHC techs will be working on trees, shrubs, and lawns performing some of the following items:

    • Fertilization

    • Integrated pest management for both insects, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies

    • Decompaction of soil

    • Soil work with amendments

    • Lawn fertilization and broadleaf weed spraying

    • When all PHC work is complete YPGA will utilize our PHC techs for an assortment of additional estate care services such as:

      • Tree pruning

      • Tree removal

      • Stump Grinding

      • Landscaping

      • Grading

      • Drainage

      • Snow removal

    ​

    What We’re Looking For:

This role requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating leadership skills while managing various maintenance tasks.

    What You'll Do:

    • Perform routine inspections and maintenance on building systems including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.

    • Material delivery and pickup

    • Equipment delivery and pickup

    • Parts pickup and delivery

    • Janitorial duties such as vacuuming, dusting, window washing, bathroom maintenance, floor sweeping and cleaning

    • Fabricate and repair components as needed to ensure optimal functionality of facilities.

    • Small engine mechanical knowledge

    • Be able to troubleshoot issues effectively.

    • Conduct residential painting and other aesthetic improvements to enhance the appearance of the property.

    • Assist with loading and unloading materials, including logs and finished firewood.

    • Perform end-of-day tasks like cleaning tools and maintaining equipment.

    • Support related tasks like using peavy hooks, large scoop shovels, tarps, and power blowers for clean-up.
